Lost & Found was started by Matthew Fisher, whose passion for everything archival began as an undergraduate summer intern at the Wolfson Florida Moving Image Archive in Miami. From there, he went on to work full time at HBO for 9 years, managing the day-to-day operations of the Archives clip licensing business. His daily responsibilities included research, license fee negotiation, drafting agreements, managing in-house cataloging, coordinating film transfers and processing master orders. In addition to his Archives responsibilities, Matt worked with HBO Series, Films, Documentaries and Sports programs, researching and acquiring footage for playback, editorial and promo use while advising on various rights issues. In 2015, Matt turned his passion for research and clearance into a full-time independent business, founding Lost & Found.
